Gust (Japanese: かぜおこし Stir Up Wind) is a damage-dealing Flying-type move introduced in Generation I. Prior to Generation II, it was a Normal-type move.

Effect

Generation I

Gust deals damage and has no secondary effect.

It is a Normal-type move in this generation.

Generation II

Gust can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of Fly, and if it does, it will deal double damage.

Gust is now a Flying-type move.

Generations III to IV

Gust can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of Bounce, and if it does, it will deal double damage.

Generation V onward

Gust can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of Sky Drop, and if it does, it will deal double damage. It can also hit non-adjacent opponents in Triple Battles.

GSC Whips up a strong gust of wind.

ColoXD Hits target with a gust of wind whipped up by wings.
DPPtHGSS A gust of wind is whipped up by wings and launched at the foe to inflict damage.
