Durant's red eyes are covered with the same steel-like carapace as the rest of its body. It has two antennae, each with a big gray ball on the end. It has a similarly shaped abdomen to some species of spider.

Special abilities
Behavior
Durant attack in groups; meaning they get along to an extent. To protect themselves against attacks from predators, they group together using each other's steel-like armor as shields. Durant gather leaves and bring them to their nest. There the leaves are rolled up into balls and stored for food.
Habitat
Durant live in mountains. They dig twisting tunnels in the mountains to form their nests.
Like some of their real life counterparts, Durant were shown to be leaf gathers in Battling the Leaf Thieves!. The leaves they find are brought back to their nest, rolled up into balls and stored as food for later.
Durant, the Iron Ant Pokémon. Durant build twisting tunnels in the mountains where they form their nests. They are covered with a steel armor for protection.
Unlike most Pokémon rivalries, Durant is at a severe disadvantage against Heatmor since it has a 4× weakness to Heatmor's type. However, this was probably done to reflect that anteaters eat ants.
Durant is the only Pokémon not in the Slakoth-line to have the Truant Ability, though only as a Hidden Ability.
Durant is the last non-legendary Pokémon in the National Pokédex that does not belong to an evolutionary family.
Origin
Durant is based on an ant, possibly the Argentine ant, as its jaw is similar to Durant's. Its coloration may be based on the natural silver coloration of the spiny ant (Polyrhachis sp.).
Name origin
Durant may be a combination of durable or endurance (referring to its Steel type) and ant.
Aiant may be a combination of アイアン aian (iron) and ant.
