Aqua Ring (Japanese: アクアリング Aqua Ring) is a non-damaging Water-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Generation IV

The user surrounds itself with a veil of water, allowing it to restore 1/16 of its max HP at the end of every turn. The effect of Aqua Ring can be Baton Passed, and will heal any Pokémon, regardless of its type.

If a Pokémon is holding a Big Root when Aqua Ring restores its HP, the amount of HP restored is increased by 30%.

Generation V onward

Aqua Ring can now be affected by Snatch.

If powered up by a Waterium Z into Z-Aqua Ring, the user's Defense stat rises by one stage.
