The Power Plant (Japanese: むじんはつでんしょ Unmanned Power Plant) is a facility that was abandoned years ago, though some of the machinery still works. It is infested with Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It is located on Route 10, although to reach it, a Pokémon must Surf along a river which can only be accessed on Route 9.
The Power Plant is the only known roost of the Legendary Pokémon, Zapdos.
However, many of the item capsules littering the Power Plant are actually camouflaged Voltorb or Electrode, so treasure seekers should be wary.
In Generation II, the Power Plant has been restored and refurbished, and provides power to the Kanto region, most notably the Magnet Train. The Valley Windworks has a similar use of Generation II's Power Plant in Generation IV.

Trivia
- The Grimer and Muk located in the plant, that can only be found in Pokémon Yellow, is a direct reference to the anime episode Sparks Fly for Magnemite in which Grimer and Muk take over a power plant located in Gringey City.
