Against the rules of the [[Forest of Okoya]], Koko was raised by {{p|Zarude}} deep within the jungle, far away from any human settlement. He was found by Zarude ten years prior to the events of the movie, following [[Dr. Zed]]'s attack on his parents, [[Chrom and Rin Molybden]], which left him orphaned.
