Physiology
Sunflora's body is obviously based on a sunflower. It has two toes on each foot and petals around its face.
Sunflora is a plant Pokémon with a Helianthus-like design, having a green trunk and limbs. Its head is circular and cream-colored, with yellow petals growing along the rim. The petals become more vivid as the weather becomes warmer. Sunflora's face has two eyes that appear perpetually closed, and a thin line running vertical beside each eye. Sunflora has leaves extending like arms from its round body and two toes on each foot.
Gender differences
None.

Special abilities
Sunflora converts Photosynthesis. Because of this, it tends to pursue sunlight and is always looking in the direction of the sun. While the sun is up, it moves around in a hectic manner. When the sun sets, it comes to a complete stop and closes its petals. In addition to sunlight, Sunflora needs plenty of water. Sunflora is rarely seen in the wild, but it can sometimes be found in List of Pokémon by habitat.

Behavior
Evolution
Sunflora are only awake during the day, they awake as soon as the Sun rises and close their petals to go to sleep as soon as the Sun sets.
Sunflora evolves from Sunkern.
Habitat
In the anime
Sunflora made its anime debut in Grin to Win, when the citizens of Bloomingvale held their annual Sunflora contest.

Many Sunflora appear in Moving Pictures.

Sunflora also started to appear under the ownership of Nando beginning in A Secret Sphere of Influence.

A Sunflora made an appearance in The Rise of Darkrai.

A Sunflora from Wigglytuff's guild traveled along with the new Exploration Team Pokédans (Japanese: ポケダンズ Pokédans) for their first mission in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 anime special.

Pokémon Special
Due to the rocks in Ilex Forest reflecting solar energy like the Sun Stone, Gold's Sunkern evolves into Sunflora.

Sunflora (Japanese: キマワリ Kimawari) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II.

It evolves from Sunkern when exposed to a Sun Stone.

Biology

Sunflora closes its petals when asleep

Sunflora is a plant Pokémon with a sunflower-like design, having a green trunk and limbs.

Sunflora converts sunlight into nutrition. Because of this, it tends to pursue sunlight and is always looking in the direction of the sun. While the sun is up, it moves around in a hectic manner. When the sun sets, it comes to a complete stop and closes its petals. In addition to sunlight, Sunflora needs plenty of water. Sunflora is rarely seen in the wild, but it can sometimes be found in temperate grassy meadows.
