Golduck is a blue, bipedal, duck, or platypus-like Pokémon. It has red eyes, a cream-colored beak, a red gem in the center of its forehead, and four spikes on the back of its head. Its hands and feet all have three clawed digits with cream-colored webbing in between. Its body is specially adapted to have a hydrodynamic shape, and it has a long tail that it uses as a rudder to steer. Golduck is sometimes mistaken for the Japanese monster, and the physical inspiration for Golduck, the Kappa (folklore) due to its general humanoid shape, beak, and webbed hands and feet.
Golduck | |||
Golduck is a fast swimmer, capable of out-swimming even the most athletic of humans because of its webbed appendages. Even rough seas do not hamper this Pokémon's swimming abilities, and it will sometimes rescue people from shipwrecks. The TCG depicts Golduck with the ability to shoot massive jets of water form both of its hands simultaneously, using them to propel itself underwater. The gem on its forehead glows when it uses its psychic powers, and occasionally when it swims at full speed. In the past, this Pokémon was overhunted due to the belief that the gem granted people supernatural powers. As seen in Pokémon Adventures, Golduck has the ability to give knowledge to its Trainer and fellow Pokémon through telepathy. Golduck can typically be seen swimming in List of Pokémon by habitat, where it hunts fish. The prey is disabled, captured, and then brought to shore for consumption. Old tales claim Golduck punishes those who defile their rivers by dragging them in and taking them away. As mentioned in Pokémon Sleep, Golduck is known to paddle its webbed limbs while sleeping.It is believed Golduck is dreaming about swimming.
Prior to Generation V, Golduck and its pre-evolved form, Psyduck, were the only known Pokémon that could have Cloud Nine as an Ability.

===Main series=== | |||
| |||
====Major appearances====
Golduck debuted in Mewtwo Strikes Back, under the ownership of Fergus. It was captured and cloned by Mewtwo. It also appeared in the remake Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution, where the exact same thing happened to it. The Golduck clone was seen again in Mewtwo Returns.
Golduck made its main series debut in Bye Bye Psyduck, where Misty thought that her Misty had evolved into a Golduck. However, it turned out that the Golduck was just a wild Pokémon that happened to act like Brock because of the Golduck's "showing-off" attitude toward girls.
In Love, Totodile Style, Trixie uses a Golduck in her circus. It was also the boyfriend of an Azumarill that Ash's Totodile fell in love with.
In The Perfect Match, Trinity used a Golduck in her Whirl Cup battle against a Pokémon Trainer and his Feraligatr during the finals of the Whirl Cup. After dealing with an attack by TRT, Golduck was shown being defeated.
In Shocks and Bonds, Katie used a Golduck in her battle against Ash during the Ever Grande Conference. It defeated Torkoal after her Venomoth disabled Torkoal's Iron Defense attack. In the following episode, Golduck was defeated by Corphish despite it being confused.
In Like It or Lup It!, a Golduck led a group consisting of a Poliwag, Wooper, and Quagsire, whose Berries were stolen.
In The Power of Us, Callahan caught a Golduck in a special blue Poké Ball for the Pokémon Catch Race, saving a Sudowoodo from it in the process.
In Found You, Fuecoco!, Onia used a Golduck to attack the Rising Volt Tacklers, alongside Zirc's Rhydon. It was eventually defeated by Liko's Liko. It has since made several reappearances throughout Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
====Minor appearances====
In Pikachu's Vacation, a Golduck was at the Pokémon Theme Park.
In The Power of One, multiple Golduck sensed the disturbance caused by Lawrence III.
A Golduck appeared in the Japanese credits of Pikachu's Rescue Adventure.
In Wired for Battle!, a Trainer's Golduck came up as an image in Shingo's laptop.
In The Fire-ing Squad!, ten Golduck competed in the Fire and Rescue Grand Prix.
In Hook, Line, and Stinker, a Trainer's Golduck participated in the annual Seaking Catching Competition.
In Ring Masters, a Golduck competed in Rikishii Town's Sumo Conference.
In Around the Whirlpool, a Golduck was stolen from the Pokémon Center of Blue Point Isle.
In Octillery The Outcast and Dueling Heroes, a Trainer's Golduck competed in the Whirl Cup.

Golduck (Japanese: ゴルダック Golduck) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.
It evolves from Psyduck starting at level 33.
Biology
Golduck is a blue, bipedal, duck, or platypus-like Pokémon. It has red eyes, a cream-colored beak, a red gem in the center of its forehead, and four spikes on the back of its head. Its hands and feet all have three clawed digits with cream-colored webbing in between. Its body is specially adapted to have a hydrodynamic shape, and it has a long tail that it uses as a rudder to steer. Golduck is sometimes mistaken for the Japanese monster, and the physical inspiration for Golduck, the Kappa due to its general humanoid shape, beak, and webbed hands and feet.
Golduck can typically be seen swimming in lakes, where it hunts fish. The prey is disabled, captured, and then brought to shore for consumption. Old tales claim Golduck punishes those who defile their rivers by dragging them in and taking them away. As mentioned in Pokémon Sleep, Golduck is known to paddle its webbed limbs while sleeping.[1]It is believed Golduck is dreaming about swimming.
Prior to Generation V, Golduck and its pre-evolved form, Psyduck, were the only known Pokémon that could have Cloud Nine as an Ability.
