GLORY DAY ~That Shining Day~ (Japanese: GLORY DAY 〜輝くその日〜 GLORY DAY ~Kagayaku Sono Hi~) was the fifth ending theme song of the Japanese Advanced Generation Pokémon anime series.
It debuted in It's Still Rocket Roll to Me!, and a second cut with different lyrics debuted in Do I Hear a Ralts?; the second cut was replaced by Pokémon Counting Song in Numero Uno Articuno. In AG120 it was changed to include May's Munchlax. It was changed again in Island Time to replace Ash's Snorunt with Ash's Glalie. Glory Day was then replaced by Pokémon Counting Song in Numero Uno Articuno. Glory Day returned once again with a new variant in May's Egg-Cellent Adventure where clips of the episode were shown in a small window with Ash and Pikachu in the background. This ending lasted until Pokémon Ranger - Deoxys' Crisis! (Part 2) when it was replaced once again, this time by I Won't Lose! ~Haruka's Theme~.
The animation for GLORY DAY contains the most complex animation seen in any Pokémon ending sequence. It features animated images on top of a moving sky background. Included are scenes of all the current major characters, their Pokémon, and all of Ash's past Pokémon.
The POWER MIX, most likely the version used for the television ending, is only slightly different from the original mix. It features an organ at the beginning and brass instead of synthesizer during the final bridge.
