Technician (Japanese: テクニシャン Technician) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
In battle
Technician increases the power of moves which have a power of 60 or less by 50%.
For moves with variable power, Technician will only apply if the power is 60 or less when used. For example, Low Kick and Grass Knot will only get a Technician boost if the target's weight is 110.0 lbs. (49.9 kg) or less. The only external power-modifying effects which are applied before Technician checks the move's power are Fairy Aura, Dark Aura, Aura Break, and Battery in Generation VI-VII. No external effects are taken into account when determining if Technician applies in Generation VIII.
The effect does not apply to confusion damage, which remains at a power of 40.

Although the following moves are affected by the Ability, they can be only learned by Smeargle with Technician via Sketch (with exception of Struggle and Chatter).
Outside of battle
Technician has no effect outside of battle.
