Kyogre (Japanese: カイオーガ Kyogre) is a recurring Pokémon character in the anime who appeared in Pokémon the Series: XY.

History

Kyogre was first awakened in Mega Evolution Special II by the presence of the Giant Rock.

It played a significant role in Mega Evolution Special III. Lysandre first alerted Alain and Steven to Kyogre's appearance off the coast of Sootopolis City, where it was shown in its primal state. It soon clashed with Primal Groudon over the Giant Rock. It also fought Steven's Mega Metagross, and was almost defeated by it until Metagross was beaten by Mega Rayquaza. Kyogre was quickly defeated by Mega Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent and reverted to its normal form.

It reappeared in flashbacks during Cloudy Fate, Bright Future! and The First Day of the Rest of Your Life!.

Personality and characteristics

Primal Kyogre was fixated on the Giant Rock and was prepared to attack anyone who interfered. It was heavily reliant on Origin Pulse in battle and used Sheer Cold to transform the ocean into an icy wasteland to its own advantage.

Groudon (Japanese: グラードン Groudon) is a recurring Pokémon character in the anime who appeared in Pokémon the Series: XY.

History

Groudon made a cameo appearance in Mega Evolution Special II, where it was shown being awakened by the presence of the Giant Rock.

It played a bigger role in Mega Evolution Special III, where it was shown in its primal state. As it made its way to the Giant Rock it left a trail of boiling magma behind it, making the area incredibly warm. It fought with Primal Kyogre over the Giant Rock and defeated Alain's Charizard. Primal Groudon was quickly defeated by Mega Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent and reverted to its normal form.

The same Groudon reappeared in flashbacks during Cloudy Fate, Bright Future! and The First Day of the Rest of Your Life!.

Personality and characteristics

Primal Groudon was fixated on the Giant Rock and was prepared to attack anyone who interfered with its plans. Not much was seen of Groudon's personality as it was mostly seen in a fit of rage.

Rayquaza (Japanese: レックウザ Rayquaza) is a recurring Pokémon character in the anime who appeared in Pokémon the Series: XY.

History

Rayquaza first appeared in Mega Evolution Special II, where its slumber was disturbed by Alain and the gang when they excavated a giant megalith. It appears in a fit of rage and violently attacked, fighting against Alain and Steven with their Mega Charizard X and Shiny Mega Metagross, gaining the upper hand before destroying the megalith with Draco Meteor. It then left and returned to the ozone layer.

It reappeared in Mega Evolution Special III, where it stopped a battle between Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon.

Personality and characteristics

Not much was seen of Rayquaza's personality, as it was mostly seen in a fit of rage. However, it was shown to stop the violent clash between Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon when the two clashed.
