In the core series games
Price

In the Generation V games, the Big Mushroom can be sold to the gourmet maniac on Route 5 for $5000.
In Pokémon Sword and Shield, the Big Mushroom can be sold to the valuable item buyer in Stow-on-Side for $10,000.
Effect
In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, a Big Mushroom can be given to the Move Reminder on Two Island to relearn one move for one Pokémon.

In the anime
In Defending the Homeland!, Clemont mentioned having used Big Mushrooms as a part of the new food he had just made for the group.
Big Mushrooms first appeared in Treasure Hunt, Akala Style!. Mallow found them during a Stoutland Search treasure hunt set up for Ash and his classmates by Olivia.
In A Recipe for Success!, Mallow got some dried-up Big Mushrooms from Oranguru to be used at Aina's Kitchen.
