Razor Leaf (Japanese: はっぱカッター Leaf Cutter) is a damage-dealing Grass move introduced in Generation I.
==Effect== | ==Effect==
Razor Leaf | Razor Leaf deals damage and has an increased critical hit ratio. If used by a Pokémon with Sharpness, its power is increased by 50%.
In battles with multiple opponents, Razor Leaf targets all adjacent foes. Razor Leaf's odds of landing critical hits is calculated for each hit opponent individually.
Razor Leaf will also destroy grass patches found in the background of battles.
Razor Leaf can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 3 bonus appeal points if Growth was used in the previous turn.

* Razor-Sharp Razor Leaf:
** This buddy move was known as B Razor Leaf prior to version 2.38.0.
===UNITE=== | |||
In Pokémon UNITE, Razor Leaf is Decidueye's and Tsareena's first move, as well as Venusaur's second move.
Venusaur starts with the move as Bulbasaur. The user launches a barrage of sharp-edged leaves in the designated direction, damaging enemies over time. Upon reaching level 7 as Ivysaur, it is replaced by either Solar Beam or Petal Dance.
Decidueye can obtain the move by evolving from Dartrix stage at level 7 and upgrading Leafage into it instead of Spirit Shackle. The attack summons whirling razor leaves. While active, Decidueye's basic attack is replaced by a new basic attack that targets all enemies in range, as well as increasing Attack by 10% and basic attack speed. At level 11, it also increases basic attack damage by 2% of the enemies remaining HP. This damage only applies once per attack, not on each of the 3 boosted quills.
Tsareena starts with the move as Bounsweet. The user pelts leaves in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies hit. The critical-hit rate of this move is higher than that of basic attacks. Upon reaching level 5 as Steenee, it is replaced by either Triple Axel or Stomp.

== | ==Trivia== | ||
* Razor Leaf is among the three attacks enhanced into "new" moves in the Pokémon Adventures manga, the others being Thunderbolt and Thunder. It also has the longest name of a "move" in any media, being titled by Diamond as "Razor Leaf Dia Special Mach One and Only."
* During Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, the Finland and Latin America dubs, probably by mistake, used the same translated name for both Razor Leaf and Leaf Blade, even though the translation fits more accurately on the latter and the original series had already used a different, arguably better-suiting, translation of the first.
** A similar thing happens in the Brazil dub, with Razor Leaf's and Leaf Blade's names coinciding from Clamperl of Wisdom to From Cradle to Save. It is unknown why this happened in the first place, as Leaf Blade was known as Lâmina de Folha up to The Garden of Eatin.

Razor Leaf (Japanese: はっぱカッター Leaf Cutter) is a damage-dealing Grass-type move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Razor Leaf deals damage and has an increased critical hit ratio.

Razor Leaf is Ivysaur's side special move. When used, a single leaf is thrown in a slightly random trajectory (though it is very close to straight), dealing damage and knockback on those it hits.
Chikorita uses Razor Leaf after coming out of a Poké Ball in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Snivy uses Razor Leaf after coming out of a Poké Ball in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. However, it cannot legitimately learn this move in the main series games.

Pokémon UNITE

Trivia
- Razor Leaf is among the three attacks enhanced into "new" moves in the Pokémon Adventures manga, the others being Thunderbolt and Thunder. It also has the longest name of a "move" in any media, being titled by Diamond as "Razor Leaf Dia Special Mach One and Only."
- During Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, the Finnish and Latin American dubs, probably by mistake, used the same translated name for both Razor Leaf and Leaf Blade, even though the translation fits more accurately on the latter and the original series had already used a different, arguably better-suiting, translation of the first.
- A similar thing happens in the Brazilian Portuguese dub, with Razor Leaf's and Leaf Blade's names coinciding from Clamperl of Wisdom to From Cradle to Save. It is unknown why this happened in the first place, as Leaf Blade was known as Lâmina de Folha up to The Garden of Eatin'.
