The Flower Paradise (Japanese: はなのらくえん Flower Paradise) is an area in Sinnoh north of Route 224 where the legendary Pokémon Shaymin resides.
To access the Flower Paradise, players must receive a letter from Professor Oak. However, in the Japanese version of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, a glitch allows players to visit the area without Oak's Letter.
When Oak's Letter is in your pack, Professor Oak will be standing at the north of Route 224. After speaking with him, you can examine the big rock to bring up a keyboard. Typing anything will cause Seabreak Path to appear. This is an extremely long road that takes you to the very northeast corner of Sinnoh, where Flower Paradise is located. Shaymin is briefly met, then it leaves. When encountered again in the Flower Paradise, Shaymin is Level 30. Strangely, the music is the same as a normal wild Pokémon.
In Pokémon Platinum, the appearance of Shaymin here now requires the activation of the Nintendo Event, preventing players from walking through walls via cheating methods such as tweaking or using the Surf glitch.
Name origin
Its name comes from the point that the entire area is covered in flowers.
