Route 219 is a route in Sinnoh. It is much like Kanto's Route 19 in that it has a small area, and leads directly into the main sea route to a new destination. While it can be encountered shortly after the start of the game, it cannot be crossed until after the player has defeated Fantina and possesses the Relic Badge (Diamond and Pearl) or Crasher Wake and possesses the Fen Badge (Platinum). A beautiful white-sand beach, known as Sandgem Beach, is at the north end of the route, just seconds on foot from Sandgem Town. A pleasant breeze blows from the sea.
Route description
Route 219 begins on a clear, small, sandy beach just south of Sandgem Town. After the player has acquired Surf and the Relic Badge, the water can be crossed by going directly south, exploring the route further, leading to several sandbars. From here, the route turns left and leads directly into Route 220.
