Payback (Japanese: しっぺがえし Retribution) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in Generation IV. It has been TM66 since Generation IV.
Effect
This move effect may be in need of research. Reason: Whether it matters which Pokémon's turn is used to use an item in a Double Battle in Generation IV. You can discuss this on the talk page. |
Generation IV
Payback inflicts damage. Its power doubles to 100 if the user moves after the target, if the target switches out, or if the opponent uses an item.
Generation V onwards
Payback's power no longer doubles if the target switches out.
