Nina (Japanese: ノア Noa) is a minor recurring character who appeared in the Pokémon anime. She is a noted restaurant waitress who first appeared in Racing to a Big Event!.

History

Nina works as a waitress at a restaurant in Hau'oli City and was the previous winner of the Pokémon Pancake Race. She met Ash and Professor Kukui in her restaurant, where she explained Ash the race's rules. Later, she and her Alolan Raichu were seen training for the race together with Ash and Pikachu.

The next day, Nina and Raichu entered the Pokémon Pancake Race. During the final section of the race, Raichu ran in first place, but due to a distraction caused by Team Rocket and Bewear, Samson Oak's Komala was able to take the lead and win the competition, causing Nina to end up tied with Ash for second place. Although she lost, Nina was content as she had a fun time and told Raichu they would try again next year.

She was mentioned in Mounting an Electrifying Charge!.

Nina appeared again in The Professors' New Adventure!, where she attended the wedding of Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet and was part of the catering.

Nina appeared once again in Sours for the Sweet!, where Ulu was revealed to have a crush on her. However, she informed him that she had a fiancé during the Alola Bread Festival competition, leaving him heartbroken.

Nina reappeared yet again in SM093, where she watched the Pokémon School Play alongside her fiancé.

Nina reappeared again in SM102, when Ash and his classmates visited her restaurant alongside Misty. It was revealed that, at some point between Sours for the Sweet! and this episode, she married her fiancé.
