Sakura (Japanese: サクラ Sakura, known as Sayo in the games) is a Pokémon Trainer who lives with the Kimono Sisters in Ecruteak City. Her Japanese voice actress is Mariko Kōda and her English voice actress is Kerry Williams. Internationally, she is played by Tatiane Keplemaier (Johto) and Priscilla Concépcion (Pokémon Chronicles) in Brazil.
Sakura made her first appearance in Trouble's Brewing. She was particularly friendly with Misty.
In Espeon, Not Included, the group met up with Sakura again while passing through to Ecruteak City. By this time, her Eevee had evolved into an Espeon.
Sakura's most recent appearance was in the special episode The Blue Badge of Courage. She is now challenging gyms and so decided to visit Misty in Cerulean City.
