Lei (Japanese: レイ Lei) is a recurring character who first appears in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. He is the baby son of Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet.

In the end credits of Thank You, Alola! The Journey Continues!, it was revealed that Burnet was pregnant.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series

Lei debuted in That New Old Gang of Mine!, where he met Ash, Goh, and Pikachu.

In Helping the Hometown Hero!, Lei attended a party celebrating Mohn's return to Alola, reuniting with Ash and Goh, and meeting Chloe. The next day, Burnet took him with her to watch a Battle Royal between Ash, Kukui, Gladion, and Kiawe.

Lei is shown to be very energetic and happy. Although he met Ash for the first time, he immediately took a liking to him as a big brother. In Helping the Hometown Hero!, Lei is shown to have a fondness for imitation, imitating Ash's excitement when he heard about the upcoming Battle Royal and the Masked Royal pose.
