Ren (Japanese: レンジ Renji) is a recurring character in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. He is one of Professor Cerise's assistants.
History
Ren debuted in Legend? Go! Friends? Go!, where he was present during the opening of Cerise Laboratory. He later saw Professor Oak and Delia off as they returned to Pallet Town. Ren was formally introduced in Ivysaur's Mysterious Tower!, where he apologized for being late due to a traffic jam caused by an outbreak of Ivysaur.
Character
Ren is skilled despite his unkempt appearance. He appears to be widely knowledgeable about Pokémon, which was best displayed when he explained the Dratini evolutionary line to Ash and Goh. He also seems to be afraid of paranormal activities and ghosts, including Gengar. Moreover, he believed Goh's claims regarding Gengar's curse.
