Its head makes up a large portion of its body, | Wingull is a small, white {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} similar in appearance to a {{wp|Gull|seagull}}. Its head makes up a large portion of its body, and it appears to lack a neck. Wingull has thin, simplistic eyes, two triangular tufts on top of its head, and an orange beak with a hooked, black tip. Three blue-tipped feathers give it a fan-like tail and its small, orange feet have two webbed toes. Wingull has long, flat wings with light blue stripes near the tips.
By extending its wings, it | Wingull has hollow bones, which makes it light enough to fly. By extending its wings, it can catch updrafts and glide across the sky. Wingull folds its wings only when it is resting. It builds its nests on {{DL|List of Pokémon by habitat|Sea Pokémon|steep cliffs by the sea}}, and habitually hides prey and valuables in various locations using its beak, especially during winter season. Wingull's main predators are {{p|Talonflame}}, which attacks and catches them with powerful kicks; and {{p|Barraskewda}}, which leaps out and bites any Wingull flying too close to the water's surface. It circles above oceans looking for its favorite food, {{p|Wishiwashi}}, to eat. It also loves to eat {{p|Finneon}} who jump up on the sea surface. Fishermen use Wingull's skill to locate areas teeming with fish Pokémon.

Wingull (Japanese: キャモメ Camome) is a dual-type Water/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation III.
It evolves into Pelipper starting at level 25.
Biology
Wingull is a small, white Pokémon similar in appearance to a seagull.
Wingull has hollow bones, which makes it light enough to fly. By extending its wings, it can catch updrafts and glide across the sky. Wingull folds its wings only when it is resting. It builds its nests on steep cliffs by the sea, and habitually hides prey and valuables in various locations using its beak, especially during winter season. Wingull's main predators are Talonflame, which attacks and catches them with powerful kicks; and Barraskewda, which leaps out and bites any Wingull flying too close to the water's surface. It circles above oceans looking for its favorite food, Wishiwashi, to eat. It also loves to eat Finneon who jump up on the sea surface. Fishermen use Wingull's skill to locate areas teeming with fish Pokémon.
Evolution
Wingull evolves into Pelipper.

Trivia
- Wingull is one of fourteen Pokémon that one could collect foreign Pokédex entries for in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
- Wingull has exactly the same base stats as Taillow, with only their Attack and Special Attack swapped.
- Wingull, Taillow, Starly, and Pikipek are tied with:
- Spearow, Hoothoot, and Ledyba for the lowest base Defense stat of all Flying-type Pokémon.
- Pidove for the lowest base Special Defense stat of all Flying-type Pokémon.
Origin
Wingull seems to be based on a gull. Its narrow wings cause it to resemble the simplified, V-shaped silhouettes of flying birds depicted in some drawings and paintings. Its wings may also be a reference to the V formation used by migratory birds. The length of its wings and its method of floating on air currents are similar to an albatross.
The two tufts above Wingull's head resemble cat ears, which may be a reference to the black-tailed gull, known in Japanese as 海猫 umineko (literally "sea cat"; named so due to the gull's call resembling that of a cat).
Name origin
Wingull may be a combination of wing and gull.
Camome may be derived from 鴎 kamome (gull).
