Cassidy (Japanese: ヤマト Yamato) is one half of of the Team Rocket duo that occasionally runs across Ash Ketchum and his friends in the Pokémon anime.

Cassidy and Jessie met either before or shortly after their both joining Team Rocket, and are assumed to have been rivals since then. The two women are almost equally vain. Raticate was Cassidy's signature Pokémon during the first seasons of the anime. It cannot talk like Meowth, but it does occasionally say its name at the end of Butch and Cassidy's motto. Also unlike Meowth, Cassidy keeps Raticate in a Poké Ball. It first appeared in The Breeding Center Secret.
Raticate's known moves are Tackle, Super Fang, and Skull Bash.

In Pikachu Re-Volts, Butch and Cassidy used Drowzee to brainwash Pokémon into turning against their Trainers and obeying Butch and Cassidy. Ash's Pikachu was one of the Pokémon affected.
Drowzee's known moves are Hypnosis, Teleport, Mega Punch, and Metronome.

These Pokémon were temporarily controlled by Butch and Cassidy for another scheme using Drowzee to hypnotize them. They include: Pikachu, Togepi, TRMeowth ([[{{{2}}} (move)|{{{2}}}]]), Arbok, Lickitung, Weezing, Victreebel, Wartortle, Vulpix, Mankey, Primeape, Growlithe, Poliwag, Ponyta, Magnemite, Grimer, Kingler, Voltorb, Hitmonchan, Seaking, Starmie, Electabuzz, Magikarp, Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon. Pikachu and Togepi were the first to get hypnotised including a whole lot more and suddenly they just disppear. Then next is Meowth which Team Rocket follow and discover their base as their Pokémon turn against them too.
When Ash, Misty, Tracey and Officer Jenny find the base the Pokémon attack with numerous moves. Ash has an idea and makes Pikachu uses Electric moves making it angry, Ash then stands near Drowzee and Pikachu shocks him and the machine stopping Drowzee and stopping the trance.
Their known moves are: Flamethrower (used by Flareon, Growlithe, Ponyta and Vulpix), Water Gun (used by Seaking, Starmie, Vaporeon, Wartortle and Poliwag), Thunderbolt (used by Electabuzz, Jolteon and Magnemite) and Selfdestruct (used by Voltorb).

TRDelibird ([[{{{2}}} (move)|{{{2}}}]]) was delivering the Poké Ball containing Charizard to Cassidy, but it mistakenly gave it to Jessie. Delibird returned later and reclaimed the Poké Ball. It is assumed Charizard was delivered to Cassidy successfully.
Charizard's known moves are Flamethrower and Fire Spin.

Name origin
Cassidy is named after Butch Cassidy, an American outlaw. Her Japanese name, Yamato, is named after the 大和 Yamato, a World War II-era Japanese battleship. Its sister ship was the 武蔵 Musashi, one of Jessie's namesakes.
