Bianca (Japanese: ベル Bel) is a rival character in Pokémon Black and White.

In the games

Like the player, Bianca lives in the starting town of Nuvema Town, and is also a childhood friend of the player (and soon-to-be-rival). Though she is somewhat unreliable and a bit of an airhead, she also has a strong side, as shown when she embarks on a Pokémon journey despite her father's strong opposition. This is emphasized in Nimbasa City, where her father disallows her to become a Pokémon Trainer. With the help of Nimbasa City Gym Leader Kamitsure, Bianca convinces her father to let her follow her dream.

Like the player and Cheren, Bianca receives a starter Pokémon as a gift from Professor Juniper at the start of the game; she chooses the Pokémon with a type disadvantage to the player's starter Pokémon. The player encounters Bianca on several occasions, where she often challenges the player to a battle.

Bianca in the anime

Bianca made her debut appearance in BW013, when she is sent by Professor Juniper to deliver a badge case to Ash. Unfortunately, Bianca is a very clumsy girl and ends up knocking Ash and Cilan into a nearby stream. Despite being older than Ash, she has only just started her journey due to her father not allowing her to become a Trainer when she turned ten.

Bianca is shown to be very excitable, for instance when a Minccino stole the badge case and Ash attempted to use Oshawott to get it back, Bianca commanded him to use Hydro Pump despite the fact that Oshawott wasn't her Pokémon nor did he even know that move. She later made the same mistake when she commanded Pikachu to use Thunder Wave. Bianca is also shown to be a bit of a crybaby, which was displayed when her Chaoboo was unable to defeat Minccino.

She also had a battle against Ash, where she used her Chaoboo against his Pikachu. She lost the battle after putting up a hard fight.

Pokémon

This listing is of Bianca's known Pokémon in the anime:

Chaoboo
Debut BW013
Voice actors
Japanese Akeno Watanabe

Chaoboo is Bianca's starter Pokémon. Bianca attempted to use it to catch a wild Minccino that had stolen the dirty badge case that she had given to Ash. Though it has overwhelming power, it was taken down by Minccino with a combination of Hyper Voice and Tickle.

Bianca later used Chaoboo to battle Ash's Pikachu. Even though it significantly weakened Pikachu with a powerful Heat Stamp, the Fire Pig Pokémon still lost the battle after a full on collision with Pikachu's Volt Tackle. Despite these two losses Chaoboo is still powerful as it was able to win Bianca two badges all by itself.

Chaoboo's known moves are Tackle, Flame Charge, Take Down and Heat Stamp.

Minccino
Minccino
Debut BW013
Voice actors
Japanese Mai Aizawa

Minccino first appeared stealing the badge case Bianca was delivering to Ash in order to clean it. Bianca sent out her Chaoboo to battle him. He was able to dodge some powerful moves but using Hyper Voice and Tickle, Chaoboo had to be returned. Ash was about to send his Pikachu to battle the Minccino when Oshawott came out of his Poké Ball to battle him instead. Minccino dodged Oshawott's Tackle and evaded his Razor Shell before defeating him with a combination of Tickle and DoubleSlap.

Bianca then tried tempting Minccino with a bowl and a dirty spoon which seemed to work, but Minccino just carried the bowl away. They found where Minccino was hiding and Ash sent out Snivy, who used Attract, but Minccino used Attract back, forcing Ash to recall Snivy. Pikachu battled last, and the pair seemed to be equally matched. Minccino used his Tickle-Hyper Voice combination, but Pikachu used Thunderbolt, which dazed it.

Bianca then manages to catch him when he was tempted to clean her dirty Poké Ball.

Minccino's known moves are Hyper Voice, Tickle, DoubleSlap and Attract.
