(Japanese: シューティー Shooti) is a Pokémon Trainer from the Isshu region and a rival of Ash.
History
Shooti was introduced in BW001 as a beginning Trainer ready to choose his first Pokémon. After meeting with Professor Araragi, he chose Tsutarja as his new partner. Shortly after obtaining it, he challenged Ash Ketchum to a Pokémon battle. He had much interest in battling Pikachu, a species that is foreign in his region. Because Pikachu could not use any Electric attacks, Shooti easily defeated Ash.
Shooti appeared again at a Battle Club in BW010, where he and Ash have a 5 on 5 battle, and where he revealed that he caught 5 more Pokémon Even though they were now battling on even grounds due to Pikachu not being incapacitated, he showed himself to be a powerful trainer, as he defeated Ash despite the latter having much more battle experience, and defeated Pikachu with Janovy again, despite Pikachu being a long-standing veteran of Ash's team. He also defeated Ash's Mijumaru and Pokabu in one hit with his Hatooboo's Super Luck-boosted Aerial Ace.
Character
Shooti is a Pokémon photographer, in which he takes photos of Pokémon and places with a green digital camera. In BW010 he is also shown to possess a Live Caster.
Like Paul, he is a quiet individual who prefers to keep his emotions to himself and becomes annoyed by Ash's overly-expressive personality, referring to him as a hillbilly multiple times. Also like Paul, he insults Ash by calling him a weak trainer.
Shooti is shown to be an extremely powerful trainer, despite having only recently beginning his journey, defeating Ash twice despite the latter having much more experience, and as well as defeating Pikachu, a powerful veteran of Ash's team, twice despite both times using his recently obtained starter Pokémon. He has also defeated Ash's Pokémon extremely easily, such as when he used his Hatooboo to defeat his Pokabu and Mijumaru, and using his Janovy to defeat Pikachu. It is possible that Shooti has been training Pokémon for much longer than Ash has.

Trivia
- Shooti is one of the first Pokémon photographers since Todd Snap to appear in the anime.
- Shooti is Ash's third rival whose Japanese name starts with the kana シ shi, the other two being "Shigeru" and "Shinji" respectively.
- Notably "Shū", the Japanese name of May's rival Drew, also starts with this same letter. This makes Shooti the fifth major rival in the anime who's name starts with a シ or a variation of it.
