Anna (Japanese: アナ Ana) is a recurring character who appeared in the Pokémon anime. She is an Alola TV event hostess and news reporter, who has appeared in several roles throughout Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, all related to televised events.

History

Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon

Anna debuted in Racing to a Big Event!, where she was the announcer of the Pokémon Pancake Race. She has also hosted the Charjabug Race and Vikavolt race events.

In addition to begin an event hostess, Anna is also a newscaster. In Getting the Band Back Together!, she read the story that DJ Leo's Dugtrio had gone missing. In A Dream Encounter!, Anna announced the fifteenth annual "Alola Woman of the Year" award, with Professor Burnet winning the title for her scientific contributions.

Anna visited Aina's Kitchen for her lifestyle reporting segment in Mallow and the Forest Teacher!. While she was enjoying all of Abe's prepared dishes, the broadcast abruptly ended when Mallow stormed out, having had enough.

In The Professors' New Adventure!, Anna attended the wedding of Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet.

Anna was filming Hala during the Manalo Festival in Securing the Future!. She later joined the rest of Alola in showering Necrozma with light so it could return to its normal form.

In This Magik Moment!, Anna was seen filming a broadcast when the Alola TV star Karpy evolved into Gyarados and rampaged past her.

Anna was the stage presenter when Professor Kukui and the Aether Foundation announced the establishment of the Alola League in The Dealer of Destruction!.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series

Anna returned in All Out, All of the Time!, where she was the commentator of the Pokémon Catch Adventure Race.

Character

Anna is a fantastic event and television hostess. She is not afraid to show her emotions during a broadcast, like in Getting the Band Back Together! where she cried as she announced that DJ Leo's Dugtrio had gone missing, or her thorough enjoyment of Abe's food in Mallow and the Forest Teacher!. While she has her script, she announces her lines with passion and an excited tone.
