Description Highly popular in the Unova region, this bassist balances her time between her band and being a Poison-type Gym Leader.

Roxie (Japanese: ホミカ Homika) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. She forms a sync pair with Whirlipede and its evolved form, Scolipede. The sync pair can be obtained through the sync pair scout. This pair can be raised to Masters EX star.png 6★ EX beginning on June 25, 2023.

Roxie in her sygna suit forms a sync pair with Amped Form Toxtricity, which is capable of Gigantamaxing. This pair was made available through a Poké Fair sync pair scout beginning on October 31, 2023. This pair can be raised to Masters EX star.png 6★ EX since it first released.

Trivia

  • Roxie is the only scout-exclusive 4★ sync pair to have a sygna suit.
  • During the Who's the Best Singer? story event, Roxie reveals that she raised her Toxtricity from a Toxel she got from Piers.
  • All versions of Roxie use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Caitlin, Ryuki, and Piers.
    • Roxie also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Caitlin or Piers in the same team.

Origin

Roxie's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Whirlipede is Roxie's signature Pokémon during the Gym battle against her in the core series games, while Scolipede serves the same role in the Pokémon World Tournament. Whirlipede's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black. Scolipede's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.

Roxie is not seen owning a Toxtricity outside this game, but it matches her specialty type of Poison. In addition, Toxtricity is based on punk rock guitarists, and Roxie is a punk rock guitarist herself. Amped Form Toxtricity's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
