Trivia
- All versions of Liza use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Tate, Emmet, and Ingo.
- Liza also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Tate in the same team.
Origin
Liza's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Lunatone is Liza's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Lunatone's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby.
Liza is not seen owning a Celesteela outside this game, though the pair may reference Tanabata, an annual celebration in Japan occurring every summer also known as the Star Festival. Celesteela may reference the bamboo trees to which people attach notes with handwritten wishes on them during Tanabata. Celesteela's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
