Trivia

  • Gordie & Coalossal are the first non-limited sync pair to be able to lower an opponent's type rebuff.
  • All versions of Gordie use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Nessa, Melony, Raihan, Brock, Roark, and Grant.
    • Gordie also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Nessa, Melony, or Raihan in the same team.

Origin

Gordie's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Coalossal is Gordie's signature Pokémon in the core series games, where it is also capable of Gigantamaxing. Coalossal's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.
