Clavell (Japanese: クラベル Clavel) is a character in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. He serves as the director of Naranja AcademyS/Uva AcademyV.
In the core series games
★ Starfall Street ★
During the ★ Starfall Street ★ storyline, he disguises himself as a student named Clive (Japanese: ネルケ Nelke) to support the player and learn the truth behind Team Star's reputation and actions.
Victory Road
Clavell appears as part of Iono's Gym Test, where he hides somewhere in three locations, the first location being the street connected to the Levincia Gym building, the second location being the street connected to the Levincia Pokémon Center, and the third location being the Levincia Gym's battle court. The player must use the street surveillance cameras to seek him. Iono refers to Clavell as Mister Walksabout throughout the Gym Test. Clavell explains that he owes the Pokémon League "for many a past favor", which is why he agreed to help Iono with her Gym Test. For the first two locations, the player will always have to battle Iono's Gym Trainers, even if they found Clavell on their first try or not.
Pokémon
Clavell's team will always contain the final evolutionary form of the starter Pokémon with a type advantage to the player's chosen starter. This is likely the starter that remained with him after the player and Nemona chose their own starters at the beginning of the game. The remainder of his team will be based on his starter. Clavell also sends out a Pawmi during the games opening cutscene.
Clavell will Terastallize his starter at the first opportunity.

- Main article: Clavell (Paldea Evolved 177)
Clavell was introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Scarlet & Violet Series (the Japanese Scarlet & Violet Era). It was first released in the Japanese Triplet Beat subset and the English Paldea Evolved expansion, with artwork by Hitoshi Ariga. An ultra rare version of the card with artwork by Sanosuke Sakuma was released in the same sets. It lets players search their deck for up to three Basic Pokémon with 120 HP or less, reveal them, and put them in their hand. Afterwards, the player shuffles their deck.
