Drasna (Japanese: ドラセナ Dracaena) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. She forms a sync pair with Dragalge. This sync pair was first made available on August 7, 2023. This pair can be raised to Masters EX star.png 6★ EX since it first released.

In the games

History

Drasna is a member of the Kalos Elite Four who specializes in Dragon-type Pokémon. She was raised on tales from her grandparents' hometown of a Pokémon that governs time and a Pokémon that governs space. The accessories she wears are a traditional design within her family, made from the fangs of dragons. She often calls Pokémon battles "play" because she believes that the trick to growing stronger as a Trainer is enjoying battles.

Drasna enjoys being on Pasio because she can go where she wants and play with a variety of sync pairs, instead of having to wait for challengers at the Pokémon League. It reminds her of the time before she joined the Elite Four. In addition, she believes that Pasio will one day have myths and legends like the ones in Sinnoh. She enjoys battling the player and their Pokémon because of how strong they are, and her partner Pokémon, Dragalge, views the player as a rival.

Drasna's Dragalge has a habit of surprising people by spraying them with water when she's feeling playful. Dragalge also enjoys swimming in the ocean to cool off after a heated battle.

Trivia

  • Drasna is one of the only two recruitable Trainers who do not appear in any story areas outside of their sync pair story, excluding the introduction for the second Daily Type Rotation event, the other being Morgan.
  • Drasna is the last sync pair in the general sync pair scout with a sync move based on a core series move.

Origin

Drasna's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon X and Y. Dragalge is a Pokémon that Drasna uses in the core series games. Dragalge's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
