Description | Mallow is a captain on Akala Island in Alola and works at a restaurant where she hones her skills as a chef. Her cooking is unique but popular among some. |
Mallow (Japanese: マオ Mao) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. She forms a sync pair with Tsareena. She was first introduced in the story event Rosa's Party. The sync pair can be obtained through the sync pair scout, starting from January 21, 2021. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX since it first released.
Mallow is also available in her Palentine's attire, partnered with Appletun. This pair can be obtained from a limited seasonal sync pair scout beginning on January 31, 2023. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX since it first released.

- Mallow (Palentine's 2023) & Appletun were the first Dragon-type sync pair with the Alola theme skill.
- All versions of Mallow use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Lana, Kiawe, Olivia, and Siebold.
- Mallow also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Lana or Siebold in the same team.
- In the story event Chef's Heartful Delivery, Mallow reveals that she received her Appletun from Victor as an Applin.
Origin
Mallow's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Tsareena is Mallow's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Tsareena's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Shiinotic is another Pokémon that Mallow uses in the core series games. Shiinotic's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
