Unlike in the event, she could appear anywhere in the Pokémon Center, have her Snorlax in addition to Togepi, and wear her EX outfit. Her dialogue was identical to that of the event, but when the player spoke to her, she and Togepi abruptly rotated 180 degrees to have the conversation while facing away from the player. Description | This skilled Trainer is full of mysteries due to memory loss. She's on the trail of Ultra Beasts as the head of the UB Task Force, a secret division of the International Police. |
Anabel (Japanese: リラ Lila) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. She forms a sync pair with Snorlax, which is capable of Gigantamaxing. This sync pair was first made available through a limited Poké Fair sync pair scout on February 15, 2023. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX from the day it was released.

Trivia
- In her sync pair story, Anabel reveals that Snorlax was her first partner Pokémon. She also reveals that she has multiple other Pokémon that she chooses not to disclose to the player at the present time.
- The background music used on Anabel's sync pair scout screen and in battles against her is the Pokémon Masters EX version of the Hoenn Frontier Brain theme, mimicking how battles with her in the Battle Tree can use the original theme from Pokémon Emerald.
- All versions of Anabel use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Nanu, Looker, Emma. and Palmer.
- Anabel also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Looker or Emma in the same team.
- Starting from version 2.31.0, if the player had recruited Anabel and she appeared in the Pokémon Center, she would occasionally appear talking to the Togepi she rented in the Metronome Day event. If the player spoke to her again, she and Togepi would rotate around again to have the conversation while facing the player. This bug was fixed in version 2.33.0.
- Anabel and Barry are the only characters who can be battled in any area in the Battle Rally.
Origin
Anabel's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Snorlax is a Pokémon that Anabel uses on her team in the Battle Tower in Pokémon Emerald, as well as her battle against the player in Sun and Moon. It is also one of the Pokémon she can use in the Battle Tree in all the Alola-based core series games. Snorlax's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
