Description | This Galar Trainer loves nature. In battle, he's a strategist who carefully observes opponents and calls out pinpoint instructions. |
Victor (Japanese: マサル Masaru) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Rillaboom, which is capable of Gigantamaxing. This sync pair was first made available through a limited Poké Fair sync pair scout on October 7, 2022. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX from the day it was released.
Victor also forms a sync pair with Spectrier, which is capable of Dynamaxing. This pair was first made available through a special sync pair event on August 16, 2023, and could be raised to 6★ EX from the day it was released, though this pair lacks an EX style.
Victor in his Palentine's 2024 attire forms a sync pair with Greedent. This pair can be obtained through a seasonal sync pair scout beginning on February 9, 2024. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX since it first released.

Trivia
- Victor has the widest gap between his Pokémon Masters EX debut and the debut of his female counterpart, Gloria, at 676 days.
- In a conversation with Victor in the Pokémon Center, he says that his backpack is a hand-me-down from his dad, just as it is described in the core series games.
- All versions of Victor use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Gloria, Hop, Marnie, Bede, Leon, Sonia, Klara, and Avery.
- Victor also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Gloria, Hop, Marnie, Bede, Leon, Sonia, or Klara in the same team.
- An unused special voice-over line for Victor winning a battle with Avery on the team exists in the game files.
- Victor & Spectrier were the first sync pair with the Field role.
- They are also the only Field sync pair that does not have an EX role.
- Victor & Spectrier were the first sync pair available through a special sync pair event to have an initial potential of 5★.
- According to Victor, he met his Spectrier on Pasio, where it had appeared for unclear reasons.
- Victor is the first male character to receive a Palentine's outfit.
- Victor (Palentine's 2024) & Greedent are the first sync pair to use Berries in battle.
Origin
Victor's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Rillaboom is the final evolution of Grookey, one of the first partner Pokémon of Galar in the core series games. Rillaboom's Gigantamax form can be unlocked in Pokémon Sword and Shield's The Isle of Armor expansion by eating Max Soup. In addition, Victor's Pokémon Adventures counterpart is depicted with a Rillaboom. Rillaboom's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
Spectrier is a Legendary Pokémon that can be caught at Crown Shrine during the story of Pokémon Sword and Shield's The Crown Tundra expansion, though it must be caught while fused with Calyrex. Spectrier's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.
Victor is not seen owning a Greedent outside this game, though it was introduced in Generation VIII, like Victor was. Greedent's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
