Mega Punch (Japanese: メガトンパンチ Megaton Punch) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. It is TM01 in Generation I and TM00 in Generation VIII.
It may be a counterpart to Mega Kick, being the same type and having a similar name.
Effect
Generation I to VIII
Mega Punch deals damage and has no secondary effect.
Mega Punch can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 4 bonus appeal points if Focus Energy or Mind Reader was used in the previous turn.
Generation IX
Mega Punch cannot be selected in battle due no available Pokémon being able to learn it, despite the move being programmed into the game.
