Trivia
- Sabrina was the last Kanto Gym Leader to be added to Pokémon Masters EX, making Kanto the first region to have all its Gym Leaders playable in the game.
- Though Bellelba has a different name and Dex number than Sabrina, they are still considered the same character and they cannot be placed on the same Trainer Lodge expedition team. They share this trait with Kukui and the Masked Royal, as well as Brycen and Brycen-Man.
- Sabrina uses special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Brycen and Olympia.
- Sabrina also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Brycen on the same team.
- Bellelba uses special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. These Trainers include Nate, Rosa, and Brycen-Man.
- Prior to version 2.22.0, there was a spacing issue with all Trainer names that contain apostrophes, including Sabrina (New Year's 2022): in level-up screens, these names each had a single-character-long gap between their apostrophe and the letter S. For example, New Year's 2022 was displayed as "New Year' s 2022."
- Unlike other seasonal sync pairs whose sync pair stories are the same as the story areas from their event, Sabrina (New Year's 2022)'s sync pair stories are displayed in reverse chronological order on her Sync Pair Stories screen; the final area is listed first, the second to last area is listed second, and so on.
Origin
Sabrina's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Alakazam is Sabrina's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Alakazam's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
While Sabrina is not seen to own a Chingling outside this game, it is a reference to the bell-ringing tradition associated with the Japanese New Year, called Joya no Kane. Chingling's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Pearl.
Bellelba's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Swoobat is a Pokémon Bellelba uses during the film Mystery Doors of the Magical Land. Swoobat's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
