Professor Sycamore (Japanese: プラターヌ Platane) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series. He forms a sync pair with Xerneas. The sync pair could be obtained during the limited-time Legendary Event, Give and Take.

• Professor Sycamore and Xerneas are one of the only two sync pairs whose sync move is a status move, the other being Leaf and Eevee.
  • He is also one of the two Support sync pairs that can be obtained by completing a Legendary Event, the other being Hop and Zamazenta
• The time between Professor Sycamore's debut in the Pokémon Masters Animated Trailer and his status as a playable character is the longest in Pokémon Masters EX, at 596 days. He first appeared in the Pokémon Masters Animated Trailer beginning June 27, 2019 and became playable on February 11, 2021.
• Professor Sycamore's Bulbasaur is a reference to the Kanto starter Pokémon he gifts to the player and uses to battle them in Pokémon X and Y.
