Trivia
- Though Red is depicted mostly as silent in Pokémon Masters EX, there are several instances of him speaking in the game:
- The color palette of Sygna Suit Red's EX Style outfit is likely a reference to Mega Charizard X.
- Red is the only Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX whose Sygna Suit variant was made available before their regular attire.
- The English names of Red's Trainer moves are possible references to the lyrics of the Pokémon Theme.
- Red is the only Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX that can use both Gigantamax and Mega Evolution.
Origin
Charizard is the evolved form of Charmander, one of the starter Pokémon of Kanto in the core series games, and one of the Pokémon Red typically uses as a non-player character in the core series. In addition, animated short series such as Pokémon Origins depict Red with Charizard as his starter Pokémon, with Origins being the first medium Charizard is seen Mega Evolving in. Charizard's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
Red's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Snorlax is one of the Pokémon Red typically uses as a non-player character in the core series. In addition, he also uses one in Pokémon Stadium 2, and his Pokémon Adventures counterpart has one as a part of his main party. Snorlax's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
