- Sidney is the only member of the Hoenn Elite Four that does not form a Support sync pair.
- In his sync pair story, Sidney reveals that he first met Absol when it saved him from being hit by an avalanche.
- Sidney has the longest gap between his debut in the sync pair scout and his first appearance in a story area outside of his sync pair story at 814 days. He debuted in the sync pair scout on August 9, 2021, and he made his first story appearance in Who's the Best Singer? on October 31, 2023.
Origin
Sidney's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Absol is Sidney's signature Pokémon in the core series games, being able to Mega Evolve during the rematches against him in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Absol's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
