Description | This highly talented Trainer is said to have acquired his Pokémon battling skills on a journey around Unova. He seems calm but actually hates losing. |
Hilbert (Japanese:トウヤ Touya) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Oshawott and its evolutions, Dewott and Samurott. The sync pair can be obtained through the sync pair scout starting from September 24, 2019. The pair's potential can be upgraded to 6★ EX from March 22, 2021, which unlocks Hilbert's EX Style.
Hilbert is also available in his fall attire designed to resemble a Mightyena, which he forms a sync pair with. This pair is also capable of being upgraded to 6★ EX from when the pair was first released.
Oshawott → Dewott → Samurott
Oshawott can evolve into Dewott once it has reached level 30 through its Sync Pair Story Oshawott's Evolution, and then into Samurott once it has reached level 45 through its Sync Pair Story Dewott's Evolution.

Trivia
- As shown in The Ideal Formula event, Hilbert is based on the player character in Pokémon Black, and is shown to have a close relationship with N.
- In the aforementioned event, it is also revealed that Hilbert was searching for N during the events of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 because N left him so suddenly that he didn't have a chance to say goodbye.
- According to Hilbert's Sync Pair Story, the Oshawott he brought to Pasio was hatched from an Egg he found after he left his Samurott at a Pokémon Day Care.
Origin
Hilbert's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black and White. Oshawott is one of the starter Pokémon of Unova in the core series games. Oshawott and Samurott's Dex entries come from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Dewott's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black.
Hilbert is not seen to own a Mightyena outside this game. Mightyena's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Omega Ruby.
