Description | An optimist whose constant smiling is infectious, he loves malasadas and fun. He takes Pokémon battles where Trainers are in sync with their Pokémon very seriously. |
Hau (Japanese: ハウ Hau) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Alolan Raichu. The sync pair is obtained during the events of Chapter 11 of the Main Story. This sync pair was first made available since the game release. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX from June 25, 2022.
Hau in his Sygna Suit forms a sync pair with Tapu Koko. This pair was first made available through a limited Poké Fair scout beginning on April 28, 2023. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX since its release.
Raichu (Alola Form)
Raising this sync pair to 6★ EX will unlock Song Key 07012, which allows "Battle! (Hau) (Pokémon Masters EX Version)" to be played in the Jukebox.

Trivia
- Hau's appearance in the Champion Stadium is a reference to him being the final opponent of the Pokémon League in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, before the player becomes Champion.
- Hau's Sygna Suit resembles the outfit worn by his grandfather.
- Hau's Sygna Suit 6★ model resembles his grandfather's 6★ model.
- According to Hala, Hau's Tapu Koko is not the Melemele Island guardian that he knows. Olivia theorizes that it came from an Ultra Wormhole.
Origin
Hau's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Alolan Raichu is one of Hau's main Pokémon in the core series games. Alolan Raichu's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Hau is not seen owning a Tapu Koko outside this game, though it is the guardian deity of Melemele Island, which is Hau's home island. Tapu Koko's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
