History
Lyra has experienced similar events to her core series counterpart as the NPC character. Lyra grew up and became best friends with Ethan in New Bark Town.[3] While on her journey, Lyra caught a Marill,[4] Chikorita, Jigglypuff, Celebi, Eevee, and a Phanpy. Lyra's Eevee evolved into a Vaporeon because it admired Lyra's Marill.[5]
At some point Lyra battled Red.[6]
Chikorita → Bayleef → Meganium
Chikorita can evolve into Bayleef once it has reached level 30 through its sync pair story Chikorita's Evolution, and then into Meganium once it has reached level 45 through its sync pair story Bayleef's Evolution.

Trivia
- Lyra is based on the NPC character from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, as she mentions having a Marill, and that her grandparents run the Pokémon Day Care.
- Lyra mentions she once battled Red. This is likely a reference to the battle with Red on Mt. Silver, although it is unknown if she actually fought him on Mt. Silver, or somewhere else, like on Pasio.
- All versions of Lyra use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Ethan, Kris, and Silver.
- According to Cynthia, Lyra's sygna suit resembles the outfits worn by dancers in the Johto region long ago.
- Sygna Suit Lyra & Celebi were the first playable sync pair to be able to set Grassy Terrain.
Origin
Lyra's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Chikorita is one of the first partner Pokémon of Johto in the core series games. In addition, Lyra's anime and Pokémon Adventures counterparts have been depicted with the Chikorita line. Chikorita, Bayleef, and Meganium's Dex entries come from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
Lyra's Vaporeon may be based on the Eevee that can be obtained from Bill at Goldenrod City. Vaporeon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Lyra's Pokémon Adventures counterpart is shown to have caught a Jigglypuff at the end of volume 10. Jigglypuff's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Celebi is a Mythical Pokémon that can activate a story segment in HeartGold and SoulSilver by bringing a walking Celebi to the Ilex Forest shrine. Celebi's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
Lyra's Special Costume is the same disguise worn by the player to infiltrate the Goldenrod Radio Tower after it is taken over by Team Rocket during the events of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. In addition, Lyra's Pokémon Adventures counterpart is shown to own a Phanpy by lending hers to Emerald during the manga. Phanpy's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby.
