Pokémon
- Main article: Lance's Dragonite
Dragonite is Lance's only known Pokémon. It appeared along with him at a stadium in Pasio. Alongside Steven's Metagross and Cynthia's Garchomp, it battled Korrina's Lucario, Cheren's Stoutland, and Misty's Starmie. Dragonite attempted to use Hyper Beam on Stoutland and Lucario after they were incapacitated by Garchomp, but Starmie successfully defended its teammates with Light Screen.
Dragonite's only known move is Hyper Beam.

Trivia
- Lance & Dragonite were the first sync pair with a move that costs 4 slots of the move gauge.
- Lance & Dragonite were the first fair-exclusive sync pair. Consequentially, they were also the first fair-exclusive Dragon-type sync pair.
- Excluding appearances in the Monthly Poké Fair Scout, Lance & Dragonite have been featured in the most sync pair scouts out of all limited sync pairs, tied with Sygna Suit Red & Charizard. They have both had an increased recruitment chance in nine different banners.
- Lance appears in both the Kanto chapter and the Johto chapter of the Villain Arc, but he plays a more significant role in the Johto chapter. This reflects how he was only an Elite Four member in the Kanto-based games, while he was the Champion in the Johto-based games and was involved in the main plot.
- Lance's appearance in the Champion Stadium Kanto Challenge is a reference to him being a member of Kanto's Elite Four in the Kanto-based games.
- All versions of Lance use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Ethan, Silver, Clair, Professor Kukui (but not the Masked Royal), Raihan, and Leon.
- Lance also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Ethan, Silver, Clair, Raihan, or Leon in the same team.
- Lance is the first Trainer to form multiple sync pairs with Pokémon in the same evolutionary line to not be able to evolve one of said Pokémon—in his case, he forms separate sync pairs with Dragonair and Dragonite.
- Lance & Dragonite are the only sync pair to have received both horizontal and vertical sync grid expansions on the same day.
- Lance & Dragonite were the first Poké Fair sync pair to receive a sync pair-exclusive Lucky skill cookie.
Origin
Lance's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Dragonite is Lance's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Dragonite's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Lance uses multiple Dragonair on his team as an Elite Four member in the Kanto-based core series games. Dragonair's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Lance uses a Kingdra on his team during the rematch against him in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, as well as the Pokémon World Tournament in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Kingdra's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby.
Lance uses Gyarados during most of his battles with the player in the core series games. Gyarados's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
