In the games
Lillie is a young girl who had once traveled the Alola region. She came to Pasio with her brother and mother as a family in order to strengthen their once problematic relationship. She had once overcame many problems in the past, and is now a bright and excited battler. Lillie has an interest in reading and writing, as well as interest in clothing, make up and shopping. Lillie is known to be very sweet and caring for Pokémon. She cherishes the memories she had made, and wishes to make new ones on Pasio.
Lillie was once very timid and shy, but she has become more courageous during her time in Alola, saying she can't disappoint Hapu, who says Lillie can't be lily-livered. Her Clefairy helps provide her with strength. She had once snuggled up to a Poké Doll to help protect her and sleep at night, but she sleeps with her partner Pokémon now. She believes in mutual trust with Pokémon. After encountering a problem against Team Break, she gains a bond with Scottie/Bettie, who she would fight by their side with and help protect Pokémon form criminals.
In events
Lillie makes her debut in the story event Family Ties. In this event, she forms a team with her family of Gladion and Lusamine. The family learns about synchronization and the battles of three format that is found on Pasio, however they have a hard time connecting with one another and Lusamine selfishly removes herself from the group and replacing herself with the player, causing Lillie and Gladion to become upset.
Lillie makes an appearance in Baking Buddies. While getting ready for Palentines and is making sweets for Professor Bellis and Mina. She provides assistance to Serena and Dawn who are helping an Ace Trainer with desert making.
In The Light Devourer, Lillie with her friends are alerted to a Necrozma that has arrived on Pasio. In order to fight against the Necrozma, she sends out her Lunala, causing her sync stone to glow and attracting Necrozma's attention. Lillie speaks to her mother about the Necrozma who has escaped into an Ultra Wormhole, believing the Pokémon is in search for more light.
Lillie appears in her New Year's outfit with Lance during the Season's Greetings story event. Here, the two are dressed in traditional Johto clothing. While heading to town, Lillie, Lance and the player notice a Trainer who's Pelipper is ill. Lillie offers Pelipper one of her Ribombee's Pollen Puffs. This Pelipper was actually delivering greeting cards, and Lillie and Lance decide to deliver the remaining cards.
During Hearts United, Lillie, along with N and Steven are chosen to host the Unity Gala. Lillie dresses for the occasion with an outfit provided by Lear, who also asks of them to participate in stylish battles for an audience. Lillie participates in battle first, choosing Professor Kukui as her opponent as a way to provide thanks for his help in Alola.
In the Curious Tea Party costume event, Lillie is dressed for a tea party with her Polteageist. Throughout the event, Lillie and the player are tasked to solve multiple puzzles and riddles, only to end up having her Pokémon stolen by Team Break for how rare her Antique form Polteageist is.
Pokémon
Lillie has five Pokémon that she has been seen using Pasio, three of which come from and originate from the core series, her Clefairy, Ribombee, and Comfey. Her other Pokémon include her Lunala and Antique Form Polteageist. Lillie is currently the only playable character in Pokémon Masters EX who has more than one Pokémon in the core series and use them all as playable sync pairs in Masters EX.
Clefairy, who originally debuted in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, is Lillie's first known Pokémon. According to her statements in the Pokémon Center lobby, a key part of Evolution is mutual trust, and that she read and slept with them all the time, eventually she had evolved, implying that her Clefairy was once a Cleffa.
Ribombee, who she pairs with during New Year's events, also debuted from Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Lillie tends to snack of Ribombee's Pollen Puffs frequently, finding them tasty.
Lunala is Lillie's third Pokémon. Unlike the previous two, Lunala had debuted in Masters EX. Lunala is mentioned to have evolved from a Cosmog that a Trainer in Alola gave to her. That Cosmog was the offspring of Nebby, a Cosmog who she had traveled with in Alola and entrusted the same Trainer with.
Polteageist, who debuted in the Curious Tea Party costume event, is in its rare Antique Form, who Lillie did not know had any differences with. Polteageist played an important role in the costume event, being stolen for its rarity. As an enjoyer of tea, they came to the tea party to solve riddles.
Lillie's fifth Pokémon is her Comfey, who is their last Pokémon that had debuted in the core series prior.

Raising this sync pair to 6★ EX will unlock Song Key 07006, which allows "Battle! (Lillie) (Pokémon Masters EX Version)" to be played in the Jukebox.

Trivia
- Lillie is the first Trainer:
- to have more than one seasonal outfit.
- with four different outfits, as well as the first Trainer with four EX styles.
- with exception of Scottie and Bettie, to form three support sync pairs.
- to form a support sync pair that can create type-based zones.
- to utilize different subsequent recruitment voice lines.
- In her anniversary outfit's sync pair story, Lillie reveals that her Lunala evolved from a Cosmog that she received from the Trainer whom she entrusted Nebby with. This may be a reference to the Cosmog obtainable at the Lake of the MooneSUS or Lake of the SunneMUM.
- Lillie (Anniversary 2024) & Solgaleo are the first sync pair with a buddy move to not be exclusive to limited sync pair scouts.
- Lillie (Anniversary 2024) is the only sync pair in a unique outfit able to be raised to 6★ EX that does not have an EX style. This is likely due to the outfit being a recolor of an existing alternate outfit, her 2021 Anniversary attire.
Origin
Lillie's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon after the player rescues her from Aether Paradise. Lillie is seen using Clefairy to help the player in a Multi Battle in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon's Episode RR. Clefairy's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Comfey is a Pokémon that Lillie uses as a Multi Battle partner at the Battle Tree in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Comfey's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Ribombee is a Pokémon that Lillie uses as a Multi Battle partner at the Battle Tree in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Ribombee's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
While Lillie does not own a Lunala in the core series games, she is strongly associated with the Cosmog evolutionary line through her adventures with Nebby. While Lunala is not directly based on Nebby, Nebby has evolved into a Lunala in Pokémon Adventures. Lunala's Dex entries comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Lillie's Special Costume design may be based on Alice, the titular main character from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. While Lillie does not own a Polteageist outside this game, it is a reference to the iconic tea party scene from the aforementioned story. Antique Form Polteageist's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
While Lillie does not own a Solgaleo in the core series games, she is strongly associated with the Cosmog evolutionary line through her adventures with Nebby. While Solgaleo is not directly based on Nebby, Nebby has evolved into a Solgaleo in the animated series. Solgaleo's Dex entries comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun
