Water Pulse (Japanese: みずのはどう Water Pulse) is a damage-dealing Water-type move introduced in Generation III. It was TM03 in Generations III and IV and in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It is TM011 in Generation IX.

Effect

Water Pulse inflicts damage and has a 20% chance of confusing the target. It can hit non-adjacent opponents in Triple Battles.

Water Pulse's power is increased by 50% when used by Pokémon with the Ability Mega Launcher.

Water Pulse can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 3 bonus appeal points if Rain Dance was used in the previous turn.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Water Pulse cannot confuse the target. Instead, it bypasses accuracy and evasion checks to always hit.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Water Pulse is Azumarill's first move. It is obtained by reaching level 7 and upgrading Bubble into it instead of Play Rough. The move shoots a pulsing blast of water in front of the user. When the blast of water hits an enemy, decrease their movement speed for 2s and deal damage to all enemies in an area of effect around the initial target. The blast of water then automatically bounces to another target if one is available. Including the first target, the blast of water can bounce between up to three targets consecutively, and each hit behaves in the same way as the first. While the blast of water is traveling, the user can perform a short rolling dash in a designated direction. At level 13, the maximum number of targets that the blast of water can bounce between is increased by 2.
