===Main series=== | |||
====Pokémon the Series: XY====
| |||
Diantha debuted in The Bonds of Evolution!, where she was shown having an exhibition battle against Magnus. With her Gardevoir, Diantha had very little trouble in defeating her opponent's Absol where it was shown she could direct her Gardevoir through mere eye contact. Ash and ashfr later encountered Diantha in disguise, trying to get a piece of chocolate cake from a shop. She agreed to have a battle with Ash, but the battle between Pikachu and Gardevoir was soon interrupted by TRT, who caught Gardevoir and took it away. With the guidance of Diantha's Key Stone, Ash and his friends were able to find Team Rocket. Diantha then Mega Evolved her Gardevoir into Mega Gardevoir, easily breaking out of its confinement and sending the Rocket trio blasting off again.
She was seen in a fantasy in Summer of Discovery!, where it is also revealed that she and Gardevoir participated in the Pokémon Summer Camp back when Diantha was younger and Gardevoir was a Ralts.
In the beginning of Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, Diantha was battling Wikstrom. She also appeared in a flashback in Garchomp's Mega Bond!.
In Championing a Research Battle!, Diantha spoke with Olympia about the threat that Kalos was to face in the future, during which Olympia showed her a vision of Zygarde. When Olympia mentioned Ash and his friends, Diantha decided to track them down and let them know what she had heard, eventually meeting them in the middle of a training session. When she was informed about the mystical power of Ash and Greninja, she requested to battle Ash again. Diantha and Gardevoir initially held the upper hand, but as the battle continued Ash and Greninja (which eventually transformed into Ash-Greninja, to Diantha's shock) kept doing better. Diantha eventually decided to get serious and Mega Evolve her Gardevoir. Ash and Greninja, however, managed to perfect their transformation and knocked Gardevoir off its feet. But before the battle could continue, Ash and Greninja both passed out. Team Rocket then tried to get their hands on a weakened Gardevoir, but Diantha easily sent them blasting off again. After thanking Gardevoir for its efforts and making sure Ash and Greninja were okay, Diantha left, but could not help but question the nature of Greninja's transformation and the role Ash and his friends were to play. She also appeared again in another flashback in the following episode.
Diantha made further appearances since A League of His Own!, where she stood in the middle of the Lumiose Conference's stadium and welcomed the participants of the Conference. In Analysis Versus Passion! and A Riveting Rivalry!, she watched Ash's and Sawyer's battle in the semifinal round. In Kalos League Passion with a Certain Flare!, she was watching, along with Professor Sycamore, as Ash and Alain each walked towards their respective sides of the battlefield in the Lumiose Conference's stadium, for the final round of the Conference. In Finals Not for the Faint-Hearted!, she watched the start of Ash and Alain's battle in the final round of the Lumiose Conference; and in Down to the Fiery Finish!, she watched the battle's conclusion.
In A Towering Takeover!, Coming Apart at the Dreams!, and The Right Hero for the Right Job!, Diantha was caught up in Team Flare's attack on Lumiose City.
| In Rocking Kalos Defenses! and Forming a More Perfect Union!, Diantha helped destroy the Giant Rock. | ||
She appeared again in a flashback in Till We Compete Again!.
====Pokémon Journeys: The Series====
| |||
In Splash, Dash, and Smash for the Crown!, Diantha was on the cover of a magazine read by Jessie.
Diantha, along with her Gardevoir, appeared on a television screen in The Future is Now, Thanks to Strategy!.
In Aim For The Eight!, Diantha was revealed to be one of the eight competitors in the Master Class of the World Coronation Series, ranked fifth.
In Curtain Up! Fight the Fights!, Diantha participated in the Masters Eight Tournament, along with the rest of the Masters Eight, reuniting with Ash, Alain, and Steven, and meeting Iris and the other regional Champions. Her first opponent was chosen to be Lance. While waiting for her match, Diantha accepted Iris's request to have a selfie with her and Cynthia. After Leon and Alain's battle had concluded, Diantha headed to the battlefield to start her battle with Lance. In the next episode, she emerged victorious in her battle, advancing her to the semifinals to face Leon. Following her victory, Diantha was interviewed by a disguised Team Rocket, where Jessie demanded that she'd use her Gourgeist as her finishing Pokémon in her next match, much to her confusion. In the following episodes, Diantha watched the rest of the quarterfinal matches with the other Masters Eight members.
In It's... Champion Time!, Diantha battled Leon in the semi-finals. Despite her best efforts, she was unable to defeat even half of his team before her Pokémon were knocked out. As a result, she was eliminated from the tournament. In the following episodes, she joined Leon in the waiting room to watch Cynthia's match against Ash. Prior to doing so, however, she briefly talked with Cynthia in the stadium hallway, and told her that she had faith that Cynthia would be the one to reach the finals and break Leon's winning streak. To her surprise, however, Cynthia confessed that she intended to retire from battling after the tournament was over. After the battle, she met up with Cynthia again, to which the latter revealed her change of heart, much to Diantha's delighted relief.
From A Flood of Torrential Gains! to Partners in Time!, she and Cynthia watched Ash's match against Leon. After Ash had defeated Leon and become the World Champion, an excited Diantha expressed her sudden urge to have a battle, which an equally excited Cynthia agreed to have with her right away.

Just like in the games, Diantha is a famous movie star. She starred in a movie titled "Movies in the Pokémon world". She is also a fan of desserts, going out of her way to sample the local delicacies whenever she arrives in a new town. | ====Character====
Just like in the games, Diantha is a famous movie star. She starred in a movie titled "Movies in the Pokémon world". She is also a fan of desserts, going out of her way to sample the local delicacies whenever she arrives in a new town. Unlike her manager, Kathi Lee, Diantha is much more relaxed and open, always showing warmth to those around her. She views the bond between Trainer and Pokémon to be of the utmost importance for growth. Such focus allows her to communicate to Gardevoir how and when to dodge simply by making eye contact and looking in a certain direction.
She | In battle, Diantha's strategy varies depending on which Pokémon she currently is battling with, a fact that leads others to describe her as "an enigma." She views a battle as a performance, to which she always displays a high degree of showmanship and elegance. She has an affinity for support and interference moves such as Light Screen, Reflect, and Trick-or-Treat to gain various advantages, combining such tactics with skillful and serene offensive combos. Furthermore, she is highly perceptive, able to decipher an opponent's strategy and attack pattern and instantly form a counterstrategy.
In Pokémon Journeys: The Series, Diantha is revealed to have a very close friendship with Cynthia.

In PS616, a younger Diantha was seen at the Tower of Mastery in a flashback of Steven's time as one of Gurkinn's students.
====X & Y==== | |||
Diantha debuted in Chespin Sows the Seeds of Change. She is one of several people who studied under and received a Key Stone from Gurkinn. She is first seen at Lysandre Café using her Mega Diantha to shield Y and her friends from Lysandre's Pokémon. After Lysandre left on other business, Y's excitement at meeting a famous actress attracted the attention of Diantha's fans, forcing everyone to flee out the back door before going their separate ways.
Diantha | In Connecting with Gardevoir, Diantha introduced herself to Korrina, Gurkinn's granddaughter and fellow Mega Evolution Successor. She led Korrina to a nearby river, where Gurkinn was under attack from Team Flare Admin Chalmers. After they freed Gurkinn, the trio combined the power of their Mega-Evolved Pokémon to defeat Chalmers. Diantha then revealed she went on vacation from acting to join Gurkinn and Korrina stop the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal from falling into Team Flare's clutches.
In Tying Trevenant, Diantha, Gurkinn, and Korrina arrived at 9 to help X and his friends stop Team Flare from taking Xerneas' tree form to Team Flare's base. Gurkinn helped X take on Essentia while Korrina went ahead to keep Celosia from transporting Xerneas. Diantha was attacked by Malva, who trapped both of them in a Magic Room to stall for time while Xerneas was moved. Y and Shauna tried breaking the barrier, but were unable to prevent it from sinking into the ground. Team Flare eventually obtained Xerneas and used it to fuel the ultimate weapon, but the combined efforts of X and his friends weakened the device enough to prevent it from taking any lives. Malva later revealed she defeated Diantha and successfully captured Yveltal, who was sleeping in cocoon form in the ground underneath Xerneas's tree. Due to the Legendary Pokémon being equal in strength, both sides were forced to have a ceasefire.
In Pinsir Glares, Diantha was revealed to still be alive, having been hidden underground by Blue to avoid the ultimate weapon's beam. When Blue revealed he was searching for Zygarde, a Legendary Pokémon said to be able to suppress Xerneas and Yveltal's power. Diantha agreed to help and the two set off to search for clues to Zygarde's whereabouts. Diantha and Blue traveled to 15, where they met up with X and his friends before Diantha went to see Gurkinn at the Lost Hotel. In Zygarde Appears, Diantha and Blue arrived at Anistar City, where they found Zygarde interrupting a battle between X's group and Essentia. Before they could land, Essentia managed to catch Zygarde and escape.
In Malamar Traps, Diantha, Blue, and X's group set off to confront Team Flare at the Pokémon Village. Along the way, the group was attacked by Xerosic, who had his Malamar put everyone to sleep with Hypnosis. In Yveltal Steals, Diantha was revealed to have woken up and went ahead to village. She was ambushed by Malva, who used her Talonflame to steal Diantha's Mega Charm before taking to the skies. Diantha was assisted by Y, who used her Fletchy to burn Malva's hand and make her drop the Mega Charm. Y attempted to assist Diantha, but she refused and told Y to let her finish the battle alone. In Xerneas Gives, Malva witnessed Lysandre's defeat, distracting her long enough for Diantha's Gardevoir to take down her Talonflame. Diantha tried to rescuing Malva, but was rejected and forced to watch as Malva fell onto the rubble below after failing to save Lysadre. After Team Flare was defeated, Diantha and the remaining Elite Four members carried Malva's unconscious body away.

Diantha debuted in The Bonds of Evolution!, where she was shown having an exhibition battle against Magnus. With her Gardevoir, Diantha had very little trouble in defeating her opponent's Absol where it was shown she could direct her Gardevoir through mere eye contact. Ash and his friends later encountered Diantha in disguise, trying to get a piece of chocolate cake from a shop. She agreed to have a battle with Ash, but the battle between Pikachu and Gardevoir was soon interrupted by Team Rocket, who caught Gardevoir and took it away.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series
Character
Just like in the games, Diantha is a famous movie star. She starred in a movie titled "My Sweet, Sweet Lady".
In battle, Diantha's strategy varies depending on which Pokémon she currently is battling with, a fact that leads others to describe her as "an enigma." She views a battle as a performance, to which she always displays a high degree of showmanship and elegance.

Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire arc
In PS616, a younger Diantha was seen at the Tower of Mastery in a flashback of Steven's time as one of Gurkinn's students.
X & Y arc
Diantha debuted in Chespin Sows the Seeds of Change. She is one of several people who studied under and received a Key Stone from Gurkinn. She is first seen at Lysandre Café using her Mega Gardevoir to shield Y and her friends from Lysandre's Pokémon. After Lysandre left on other business, Y's excitement at meeting a famous actress attracted the attention of Diantha's fans, forcing everyone to flee out the back door before going their separate ways.
In Connecting with Gardevoir, Diantha introduced herself to Korrina, Gurkinn's granddaughter and fellow Mega Evolution Successor.
In Tying Trevenant, Diantha, Gurkinn, and Korrina arrived at Route 9 to help X and his friends stop Team Flare from taking Xerneas' tree form to Team Flare's base.
Diantha and Blue traveled to Route 15, where they met up with X and his friends before Diantha went to see Gurkinn at the Lost Hotel.

Trivia
- Diantha is the only Champion to not use more than one Pokémon of the same color. Furthermore, each of her six party members has a different stat as their highest stat. Her team is as follows: Hawlucha (Green, Speed); Tyrantrum (Red, Attack); Aurorus (Blue, HP); Gourgeist (Brown, Defense); Goodra (Purple, Special Defense); Gardevoir (White, Special Attack).
- The structure of Diantha's team when fought at the Pokémon League is similar to that of Steven's team in Ruby and Sapphire Versions and Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Both Champions use a pseudo-legendary Pokémon and two Fossil Pokémon introduced in the Generation the Champion debuted, a Flying-type Pokémon that had a unique type combination in that generation, and a Psychic-type Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution.
- Diantha appears on an electronic billboard on in the background of the Prism Tower stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. This makes her the only non-playable human Pokémon character to appear on a Super Smash Bros. stage.
- Because Prism Tower is brought over to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, she is also the only human Pokémon series character, aside from the Pokémon Trainer, to make an appearance in that game.
- Diantha's appearance and occupation as an actress seem to be based on Audrey Hepburn, her hairstyle reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn's style in Roman Holiday.
- Her debut episode features Diantha in a film titled My Sweet Lady, an homage to Hepburn's film My Fair Lady.
